Bancroft is known as the “Mineral Capital of Canada” – where almost 90% of all types of minerals found on earth are located in and around the community! Canada’s largest annual gem and mineral show, Rockhound Gemboree, takes place in Bancroft each summer and brings together more than 100 dealers in one place.  Bancroft is also known for its iconic natural attractions, like the Eagles Nest Lookout and Egan Chutes Provincial Nature Reserve that are insta-worthy for any trip to the region. And a trip to the Bancroft North Hastings Heritage Museum is always an excellent way to  step back in time! The building was once the headquarters of the Bronson-Weston Lumber Company and is now home to ten galleries featuring the community’s history.

There are also excellent Golf Courses in Bancroft so book your Tee time early and then stop for a cold IPA at our Local Brewing company, Bancroft Brewing Co.!
